Our History

The Nelfox Journey: From a Bamboo Tower to a Community-Centered Network. Our journey began on February 28, 2018, with a simple dream and a small computer shop called “Nelfox Pisonet.” At that time, access to fast and reliable internet in the community was limited, and opportunities for online learning, entertainment, and digital transactions were scarce. Yet, the desire to help our neighbors stay connected—to information, to loved ones, and to better opportunities—sparked something bigger.

Reinvention and Expansion

As stability returned, we took a major leap of faith. We upgraded our tower yet again—this time to four lengths of G.I. Pipe #1.5—to support a larger and more demanding network. Our infrastructure now supported five WiFi vendo machines, allowing us to reach more households and areas. The business fully transformed from a simple hotspot provider into a robust, community-centered digital service, offering:
  • Cash In & Cash Out
  • Bank Transfer
  • Bills Payment
  • Load to All Networks
  • Online Assistance
These were more than just services—they were lifelines. For many people in remote areas, Nelfox became their gateway to financial access.

Rising to the Challenge (Pandemic Era)

During the pandemic, internet usage surged overnight. Suddenly, families needed WiFi not just for entertainment—but for education, work, and survival. Driven by resilience and what we jokingly called the “Rules of Survival” spirit, we upgraded to a taller two-length G.I. Pipe #2 tower and expanded our internet sources to strengthen signal quality. At this time, the computer shop business was fading, and our priorities had shifted. We were no longer running a gaming hub—we were supporting students, workers, and breadwinners trying to keep their lives together in uncertain times.

The First Tower Upgrade

As demand grew, so did responsibility. We replaced the bamboo with a stronger G.I. Pipe #0.5 to provide better stability and wider coverage. This small upgrade marked the very first milestone where Nelfox proved it was willing to invest, take risks, and grow—not just for profit, but for the people who depended on it.

A Pioneer is Born

Seeing the growing need for accessible internet, we decided to take a bold step. We introduced the very first WiFi Hotspot service in our barangay—the first coin-operated WiFi service in Pinamanguhan. With only a single bamboo pole as our antenna and one postpaid wireless broadband plan, Nelfox PisoWiFi was born. It was humble, limited, and experimental—but it worked. People lined up, students downloaded modules, gamers connected with friends, and families found a new way to communicate. In that moment, we realized: We weren’t just starting a business. We were building a bridge.
